Percentage of Full-time National Servicemen Who Are Permanent Residents Each Year

Mr Leong Mun Wai asked the Minister for Defence for each year from 2000, what percentage of full-time National Servicemen have been Permanent Residents (PRs).

In the early 2000s, Permanent Residents (PRs) formed about 1% of all full-time National Servicemen (NSFs) enlisted every year. This proportion has increased gradually over the years. In 2021, 9% of NSFs enlisted were PRs.
