Debated in Parliament on 11 May 2021.
Assoc Prof Jamus Jerome Lim asked the Minister for Transport whether the Ministry will consider installing a traffic signal at the intersection of Anchorvale Lane and Sengkang West Avenue in light of the increase in resident density in the area as well as a recent accident that has occurred at the intersection as a result of a discretionary right turn.
As traffic volume is currently low, the intersection is currently unsignalised. As traffic demand will increase, given the upcoming residential developments in the vicinity, LTA plans to install a traffic signal at this intersection by mid-2022.
