Debated in Parliament on 8 Sep 2014.
Mr Alex Yam asked the Minister for Transport (a) whether LTA reviews the data from telematics devices used by public transport operators and, if so, how does LTA use the data to review bus services; (b) from the data collected, how many bus services in Yew Tee, Chua Chu Kang and Keat Hong are running below established service reliability standards; and (c) how LTA plans to further improve such services.
All bus services plying through Yew Tee, Chua Chu Kang and Keat Hong passed the regulatory Quality of Service (QoS) standards in the past year.
Nevertheless, we believe there is room for improvement. Hence, under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme, we had added three services and 35 buses to serve these three

areas. Two bus services, 188 and 302, are also in the Bus Service Reliability Framework trial launched in February. Over time, this should improve the regularity of the bus services.
