Debated in Parliament on 17 Feb 2014.
Mr Zainal Sapari asked the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs (a) what is the number of reported cases of false insurance claims related to traffic accidents in the last three years; (b) what are Police's considerations in deciding whether there are merits for further investigation; and (c) how many people have been prosecuted for false insurance claims in the last three years.
There were 244 reports of motor vehicle insurance fraud in the past three years.
