Cost of Conducting the Recent Punggol East By-election

Asst Prof Tan Kheng Boon Eugene asked the Prime Minister what is the cost of conducting the Punggol East by-election in January 2013.

The expenditure incurred by the Elections Department for the Punggol East By-Election in January 2013 is estimated to be $840,800. This includes the cost of printing ballot papers and election materials, rental of equipment, transportation costs, and allowances paid to election officials.
