The Attorney-General spoke about plea bargaining at the Opening of the Legal Year 2012. MinLaw has since been in discussions with the Attorney-General's Chambers on whether a system of plea bargaining should be introduced in Singapore and, if so, the modalities. No firm conclusions have been reached.
