Debated in Parliament on 10 Sep 2026.
Ms Valerie Lee asked the Minister for National Development (a) how long has the Changi Coastal Boardwalk been partially closed; (b) what is the current target date for the entire Boardwalk to be fully reopened and walkable from end to end; (c) how many feedback cases have been received regarding the closure; and (d) whether the works on the Changi Coastal Boardwalk can be expedited.
To ensure public safety and facilitate maintenance works, two sections of the Changi Coastal Boardwalk have been closed since December 2020 and July 2026 respectively. Works on most of the closed sections are expected to complete by the fourth quarter of 2026. A smaller section requires more extensive works and will take longer to complete.
Since 2020, the National Parks Board has received 36 feedback cases related to the closure of sections of Changi Coastal Boardwalk.
