Impact of Lowered Loan-to-value Limit on Aspiring Home Owners Transitioning from Rental Housing to Purchasing Flats

Mr Yip Hon Weng asked the Minister for National Development (a) what is the expected impact of the lowered loan-to-value (LTV) limit on aspiring home owners transitioning from rental housing to purchasing a flat; (b) of the lower-income households who may be handicapped or disadvantaged by the new LTV limit, how many are eligible for the increased maximum grant amount of S$120,000 under the Enhanced CPF Housing Grant; and (c) of those who are ineligible, what is being done to minimise the impact of the lowered LTV limit on them.
