Mr David Hoe asked the Minister for Education in its ongoing refinement to the PSLE and Secondary 1 posting framework, whether the Ministry is willing to consider measures to strengthen socioeconomic mixing in oversubscribed schools, including but not limited to setting aside a small number of places for students from disadvantaged backgrounds or introducing a socioeconomic tie-breaker in instances requiring balloting.
As part of our ongoing review of these issues, we will not close off any possibilities. We will review all suggestions and ideas, including the Member's.
