Mr Sharael Taha asked the Minister for Transport (a) whether the Ministry is exploring more opportunities to replace diesel powered harbour crafts and ferries with electric ferries; and (b) whether the Ministry has set a target for this conversion.
During the Ministry of Transport's Committee of Supply (COS) Debate in March 2023, we announced the plans for harbour craft operating in our port waters to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
