Connectivity Dead-zones and Weak Signal Strength in Bidadari Estate in Past Five Years and Measures to Address Connectivity Gaps
Alex Yeo raised concerns about connectivity dead-zones and weak signal strength in the Bidadari estate, questioning whether this was due to delays by telecommunications companies in installing boosters. Mrs. Josephine Teo responded that the IMDA has previously addressed similar issues and emphasized that Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) must meet quality standards set by the IMDA. Over the past five years, the IMDA received eight complaints about weak mobile coverage in Bidadari, with five complaints resolved and three remaining, which MNOs aim to address by mid-2026.
